Happy Bday MOM

Before starting, I would like to clarify one thing, I thought to start my blog in April.... And here I am, today, on 5th June, writing something for the first time. It doesn't mean that I am lazy, or irresponsible, or anything (blah blah)... Its just, sometimes, you have to keep your personal interests held back, to do some good to this world...

Well, today is my mum's b'day... probably she would be doing daily chores, while I am writing this blog dedicated to her. I am sometimes flabbergasted, to see her courage, strength, and humanity... It makes me proud and gives me audacity to believe that I will be a better human (laws of genetics, you see).

Mom is really complicated...too complicated for my tiny-winy brain to understand. Or rather, I must say, that the whole maternal species stands on the same ground. Many a times, she irritates (I dont lie, its truth), gives me tough time, but then, she is the one to stand by me, protecting me from whacks of bad times and my sister (thank god, she grew up and beats me no more).

Today I would like to share a story of mine, when I was enjoying my sweet 16. It was the month of April, and exams were near. As usual, I was enjoying television, keeping studies at bay... (with a sincere promise to mom that I will resume studies after half an hour, and you must know the value of scouts honor of a couch potato is nearly equivalent to zero, if the promise is related with turning off the television). Its not my fault, that I broke my promise, coz I was watching "Andaz apna apna", a great comical movie, and I forgot the course of time... While I was chortling watching some hilarious scenes, I suddenly heard my sister yelling at the top of her lungs, "Didi Ji, bhaago" (Run, Sis!)... Quite confused and infuriated at her, I came out of the room and asked her what was the matter. That stupid little girl asked me again to run.Suddenly I saw my mum climbing up the stairs, and I asked her very innocently what the matter was...and then, she started beating me up with a broom (lol)... OMG!!!! Got spanked with a broom at 16 for watching TV...

I really miss those days, and most importantly, I miss the lady who spanked me.. :)

Thanx mum for spanking me and making me what I am today...

Happy Bday mom!!!
